Humming
Anything that can vibrate can be moved by the right frequency — including you.
A 6-piece tuning fork set and a five-minute practice for coming back into tune.
The why
Modern life keeps your system switched on.
Screens. Signals. Notifications. An unending stream of things pulling at your attention. The most powerful shift is often the simplest — giving your body a steadier signal to settle into. Not switching off. Just finding a different frequency.
The idea
Sympathetic resonance.
Strike one tuning fork and a second, tuned to the same frequency, begins to hum on its own — across the room, without being touched.
This is sympathetic resonance. One vibrating thing sets another vibrating at its frequency. It is one of the oldest phenomena in physics, and one of the most quietly astonishing.
For millennia, humans have understood this intuitively. Temple bells. Singing bowls. The deep resonance of bronze struck with intention — revered across cultures as the voice of a place, a moment, a return to stillness. A tuning fork is the heir to those instruments.
The idea behind Humming is simple: what would it mean to give yourself a steadier frequency to tune into?
How it works
Your body has its own resonant rhythm.
Close to one cycle every ten seconds. About five or six breaths a minute. It is not a state you have to create — it is already there, waiting to be found.
Slow your breath to meet it. Let the fork's tone be your anchor. The fork doesn't do the work — it gives your attention something steady to settle on. The rest follows naturally.
“Five minutes. One sound. A moment to come back to yourself.”
What's in the set
Six pieces. One practice.
Each component is chosen to work together — the forks, the activator, and the roll that keeps them all. A complete instrument, not a collection of parts.
The four forks
The Activator Puck
A weighted rubber striking surface engraved with the flower of life. Strike the weighted forks on its edge for a clean, sustained tone. 7.6 cm · 168.5 g.
The Leather Roll
Genuine leather, hand-stitched, with individual pockets for every fork and the mallet. Rolls closed and ties. As much gift object as storage.
The Mallet
A light hardwood mallet with a rubber striking ball. 18.4 cm.
The practice
Five minutes. Any time of day.
Strike
Pick a fork. Strike the weighted forks on the activator puck; tap the unweighted forks gently on your palm or any firm surface.
Listen
Hold it near your ear, or rest a weighted fork lightly on your shoulder or sternum. Let the tone fill your attention.
Breathe
Slow your breath toward five or six a minute. Let the sound be your anchor. Notice what happens when you let your breathing find the tone.
Settle
When the tone fades, stay with the quiet for a moment. Strike again if you like, or simply return — to the room, to the day.

Questions
Frequently asked.
Is this a medical device?
No. Humming is a wellbeing and ritual object: a beautifully made instrument for a daily sound-and-breath practice. It is not a medical device and makes no medical claims. If you have a medical condition, please speak to a qualified healthcare provider.
What's actually in the set?
Four tuning forks (128 Hz, 136.1 Hz, 256 Hz, and 384 Hz), a flower-of-life activator puck, and a genuine leather roll. Everything you need to start a daily practice.
What's the difference between the weighted and unweighted forks?
The weighted forks (128 Hz and 136.1 Hz) have disc weights on the tines. Held against the body, they transmit a physical vibration you can feel. The unweighted forks (256 Hz and 384 Hz) produce a clear tone carried through the air. Most people use them in combination — starting grounded with a weighted fork and moving into the clearer tones as the practice deepens.
How long do tuning forks last?
With ordinary care, indefinitely. Precision-machined aluminium alloy holds its frequency. Avoid dropping them on hard floors. Keep them dry. The leather roll protects them in storage and in transit.
How do I use them?
Strike a weighted fork on the activator puck, or tap an unweighted fork gently on your palm. Hold it near your ear or rest it lightly on your shoulder or sternum. Slow your breath. Let the tone be your anchor. Five minutes is enough.
Where do you ship?
To Great Britain, the United States, Canada, and Australia. Orders typically arrive within 7–14 days. Full tracking included.
What is your return policy?
60 days from delivery. If you're not satisfied, return the set in its original condition for a full refund. The digital ritual companion is non-refundable once downloaded.
